Welcome to our website.
Thanks for taking the time to visit the site. Some people wonder "Why should I play paintball?" Paintball is a great
way to build up communication, leadership, and problem solving skills used in everyday life.
Field Special Requirements:
- Ages 10 and up may play.
- Waivers are required before any player may enter the field. If player is under 18, a parent or guardian signature is required.
- Field Paint is recommended. Ultimate Paintball uses Kick'N Paint. If you bring paint other than Kick'N paint an extra
fee will be charged. This is due to cheap brand paintballs clogging our equipment, and also because paintballs not stored
at the correct temperature become hardened and brittle, causing harm when they hit someone.
- You MUST follow all rules.
If you've never played paintball here are a few facts.
- Paintball is a recreational game and an organized
sport played year round, outdoors and indoors.
- The basic game is "capture the flag," where the object
of the game is to capture the other team's flag and return it to your team's home base ("flag station") for the win, while
keeping the other team from capturing your flag!
- Every player, and every person in or near authorized
shooting areas, must wear eye protection designed for paintball, consisting of goggles and a head protection system.
- Each team starts from its home base when the referees
call "Game on!" and advances through the playing field.
- Games have a time limit, usually 20 minutes.
Referees start and stop the games, and enforce the safety and playing rules.
- Each player has a paintball marker, powered
by C02 or compressed air, which shoots paintballs.
- Most paintballs are colorful gelatin capsules
like big round vitamins, filled with a bright-colored, biodegradable (washable) liquid fill.
- The paintballs split open and leave a "splat" mark.
- A marked player is out of that game. The more
opponents that are marked out the easier it is to capture their flag.
Who Plays Paintball?
Paintball can be played by anyone.
Only thing that we require is that the player must be over 10 years of age. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian
sign an insurance waiver before they can play.
What Is Needed To Play?
All you need is a paintball marker, an air tank, paint, and
a mask. If you do not have your own equipment you can rent equipment at the field. Paint may be purchased at the field. If
you bring paint other than Kick'N brand an extra fee will be charged. This is due to cheap brand paintballs
clogging our equipment, and also because paintballs not stored at the correct temperature become hardened and brittle, causing
harm when they hit someone.
What Should I Wear?
- Wear good shoes. Hiking
boots are ideal. High top shoes or boots that provide ankle protection are also good. Layering is the key to protection and
comfort. Several light layers are preferable to one or two heavy layers. Layering provides better absorption of the impact
of the paintballs and allows for adjusting your comfort level to the temperature and activity.
- Playing paintball can be
strenuous, and getting too hot can be some a problem. Wear loose layers of fabric that "breathes". Avoid heavy, waterproof
or tight clothes.
- Every part of your
body should be covered. You can count on being hit in the only uncovered square inch you expose. Being hit on
bare skin hurts, although it does not do permanent damage. You may get a bruise or a welt, depending on the range and your
skin type. Bring a scarf or neckguard for your neck. (Turtlenecks are also good). Bring a hat that covers your
ears. Knit ski caps work well.
- Camouflage is important!
Clothing should be earth tone, green or dark blue. This allows you to blend in better giving you a better chance of winning
the game.
- PAINTABLL MASKS
ARE REQUIRED!
- Bring more than you think
you will need. Extra equipment can be shared with your Team Mates. Remember, the life they save may be your own.
